Creativity for a Regenerative Tomorrow

in collaboration with Mercator Foundation Switzerland

The coming sustainability transformation is essentially a cultural challenge. An action research project explores the role that art and culture can play in this. In nine case studies, artists and cultural practitioners provide insights into their work.

“Technology has a central role to play in transforming society towards a regenerative ‘metabolism with nature’ . However, transformation will not be possible without reducing resource use, which in turn requires cultural change. New values, self-understandings, stories, relationships, laws, organisations and institutions are needed to make a regenerative future an achievable goal; a time when ecosystems actively recover and resources are used in a truly sustainable way.
