Canasta de Castaña (Basket of Brazil Nuts)

Brazil Nuts trees play a particular role in their relationship to the rain forest. They thrive only in thew wild and in company of diverse species.

The Brasil nuts are sought for on the international market, yet their value chain could benefit from a larger degree of collaboration and alliances.

As part of a collaboration between the Wyss Academy and the NGO Acca, in Peru, I have been asked to assist in launching a call for projects based on video. The idea is to improve to this kind of call for people beyond the traditional research-conservation scheme and who may not be used to creating complex project proposals. In this regard, video will also serve as a tool to assess how to selected ideas could progress.
